      3 Sisters and their beautiful jewelry! I love my handmade bracelet!

            My new go-to-do when the heat is just not in my favor.

I'M BACK (if anyone noticed) and I FINALLY can post some of my pictures, taken by my lovely iPhone, from the G.L.A.M event I went to a few weeks back! I know it's like so old news but I left for the beach that same weekend and as much as I would have loved to post them on my mini vay-kay, I got easily distracted by the sun, alcohol and my crazy family. Oh and then I left my laptop at their house and had to wait two weeks until they came home to retrieve it back. : 0

So here we are! My pictures aren't the best and my blazer looks ten different shades in all of them but we get the point. The event was on Thursday, June 28th at the trendy Hilllyer Art Space in DC hosted by G.L.A.M: Giving Labels A Meaning and where I met the beautiful Meaghan, founder and fashion blogger. Unfortunately, the picture my dear friend, Jeanette, snapped of Meaghan and I is not cooperating and I couldn't get it to turn straight for the life of me. But good thing for Twitter/Instagram because I was however, able to post that bad boy the night of the event, so hopefully some of you saw! The best thing about this event was that all the proceeds went to CASA of DC, an organization committed to helping abused and neglected kids in foster care.

I didn't capture as much as I wish because my hands were full of shopping bags and glasses of unlimited wine. While at the same time I think everyone was having a little bit of a melt down and not in the mood for pictures, literally. I mean this heat needs to chill out. Okay enough with my clever puns, I need to give a big thank you to my wonderful friends Jeanette and Jessica for giving up their week night to be my right and left wing(s). All of the amazing boutiques, including 3 Sisters, who took most of my money that night and everyone that made it a successful and fun night! Make sure to check back, as I will be sporting all the new rad clothes I got that night.

I mean I knew I was pale but jeez these pictures really emphasize my ghostly skin tone. Thank goodness I'll be basking, as well as drinking, heavily, in the sun come this weekend. Lord help me. So after what I hope to be a eventful Memorial Day Weekend at Dewey beach, I'll return a bronzed beauty. Okay, so maybe I'm pushing it, my fair skin will probably come back burnt and peeling but anything is better than looking like I belong in Twilight. Right?

Red White & Blue

Don't mind my early 4th of July outfit, I guess I was feeling a little patriotic at the time.

As soon as this dress arrived in SMU I knew I had to have it. However, due to my uncontrollable  shopping addiction I needed to wait until my next paycheck. Except that it sold out! Luckily someone returned it one day in my size, so I knew I was meant to have it.  I paired it with a fun solid  pair of flats bc I wanted all the attention on the dress and not my usual heels. Kept the jewelry minimal by wearing my typical "arm swag" bracelets and my go to gold earrings. Thank you Free People for coming out with the perfect white dress, even if everyone and their mother has it too!

Stripes and Solids

 Finally, a beautiful day where I was off and could actually take some pictures! I tried to capture as much of the pretty colored flowers as I could in the backgrounds. Be prepared to see my AMAZING green cropped blazer in more posts to come, seeing I'm pretty much obsessed with it! I thought it was a great piece to layer over my yellow striped tube top dress. I added some simple gold jewelry and pair of killer Michael Kors heels.  Literally could prob stab someone with the heel it is that pointy! Making them very particular as to where I wear them, seeing I could easily get stuck in a sidewalk crack and faceplant! Gotta love Michael Kors though!

Once again, another beautiful day in March! I wore this outfit to work,  however, I tucked in the blouse which I think I may have liked more than tying it but oh well, it's cute either way!

Spring Forward!

If losing an hour of sleep means gaining a BEAUTIFUL Sunday, I'll take it! Today could not have been a more perfect day to take pictures for my FIRST blog post! Thanks to my lovely bff, Jeanette and her awesome camera, we were able to get some great shots! With it being Jeanette's first time experimenting with a high tech camera and me trying to fight off the wind, I hope these first few pictures will do some justice!
